Cardo Soosaar is a highly experienced litigator whose principal areas of practice are civil litigation, contract law and the law of obligations. He represents clients in complex commercial and civil disputes and advises them on drafting and negotiating contracts, assessing contractual risks and preventing disputes.
Cardo has more than 25 years of experience in legal practice. His work includes disputes concerning the performance and termination of contracts, damages claims, debt and other obligations, ownership and real estate matters, shareholder and corporate disputes, and other business-related litigation.
His extensive litigation experience provides a practical perspective on how contractual terms and legal relationships are likely to be assessed by a court if a dispute arises. He therefore frequently assists with drafting and reviewing complex agreements and helps clients select an appropriate dispute-resolution strategy in negotiations and court proceedings.
Cardo also advises on legal due diligence, focusing particularly on material contracts, potential claims, pending or threatened disputes and other risks arising from contractual and other obligations in acquisitions, disposals and restructuring projects.
